Shillong, September 01: The cabinet today has taken the decision that they will hold MDC by-Election in the entire vacant seat in both the KHADC and in the JHADC. This was announced by the Chief Minister at the press conference.
The government will write to the governor to get his approval, after getting his approval then the government will fix the date when the election will be held. The Chief Minister asserted that the MDC By-Election will be held very soon.
The District council affair minister Mr Prestone Tynsong, inform that the KHADC has withdrawn the objection letter for holding the By-Election to the vacant seat in the KHADC. The total seat that lies vacant, are, six in the KHADC and one in the JHADC.
Once the government gets the approval of the governor, the government will fix the date for holding the MDC by-Election to the District council in the KHADC and JHADC.
