Jowai, September 11: To maintain peace and harmony between various community in the interstate border between Meghalaya and Assam in the block one area of Khanduli the two community the Karbi and Pnar form the ‘Karbi-Pnar Peace Committee’ to see that both the community in the border area live in harmony.
This peace committee met on Saturday at Amhi village in the Forest Inspection Bungalow of the Forest department of Assam. After a brief discussion they have decided that they will again met on the same venue on the 14th of this month at the same time at 11AM.
From the Karbi side the deligation was led by the president Mr Hanse and five others members and from the Pnar let by the president Mr Shwom Lyngshiang , Mr B Ksair headman of Khandhuli Village and three othrs.
