Shillong, July 23: The Khasi Matrilineal Clan Organisation, Seng Kur Warjri endeavoured to diversify its operations through the setting up of units across the State, and the confirmation ceremony of Siejiong Unit at Mawkasiang was held on 17th July, 2023.
Altogether, thirty-one units are geared up for the Silver Jubilee Celebration, culminating at Mawphlang. The confirmation ceremony was conducted by Sunshine Warjri, General Secretary, in the presence of other senior members of the clan, including George Warjri, President, Advisers, P Barkos O Warjri and Rudy Warjri, and other central body representatives.
The newly elected office bearers of the Siejiong Unit of Seng Kur Warjri are Donbor Warjri, President, John Shemphang Warjri and Sharina Warjri, Vice-Presidents, Bah Selius Warjri, Secretary, Bah Bapyndapbiang Warjri and Kong Alferine Warjri, Assistant Secretary, Barisha Warjri, Treasurer, Bah Filbert Warjri, Publicity Secretary.
They have also elected Mr Hording Warjri as Adviser. The other executive members are Banteilang Warjri, Lamphrang Warjri, Wanbor Warjri, Ronald Warjri, Sngewhun Warjri, Wansngewbha Warjri, Regina Warjri, Nangroibha Warjri, Donald Kynsai Warjri and Niris Warjri.
