Shillong, September 16: The Meghalaya Electronic Media Association (MEMA) which has recently been instituted for the welfare of Video Journalist fraternity of the State has elected the first office bearers of the Association.
The House has unanimously elected Kyrmenlang Uriah as their President, Working President – Elmar War, Vice Presidents – Badap K. Lyngdoh, Chaphrang Passah, Ruhi Phawa, Rapbor Rynshiang, General Secretary – Martin Nongkhlaw, Joint Secretaries – Mebanker Lapang, Bhabok Laloo, Treasurer – Savio Diengdoh, Organising Secretary – Marcus Lyngdoh, Office Secretary – Deepak Varma and also elected B.R Blah, Raphael Warjri and Larry Lyngdoh as the Adviser of the Association.
MEMA is an association of the electronic media house based from Shillong, Jowai and Nongstoiñ.
The meeting was convened on the 9th September, 2016 at the Shillong Press Club and attended by representatives from different Electronic Media or the Cable News Channel – Peitngor Cable News, Ri Khasi Channel, Media Plus, T7 News, Batesi TV, UNN Channel, Riluk Channel and Myntoilang Cable News from Jowai and KNB Channel from Nongstoiñ.
