Shillong, June 26: The MCIC in collaboration with the Dorbar Shnong of Upper Lumparing organized the Foundation Stone laying ceremony for construction of cobbled footpath (Trekking Path) from Upper Lumparing Laban upto Shillong Viewpoint and for construction of Link Road from Lumsohphoh connecting the turning point from the existing PWD Road up to Buddhist Temple at Upper Lumparing, both the foundation stones for the project amounting to Rs. 46, 70,000/-only which was initiated, recommended and inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri Sanbor Shullai, MLA in present of Shri H B Wahlang, Rangbah Shnong, Rangbah Dong Assistant Headmen, Members of Dorbar Shnong and residents of Greater Lumparing Area.
Mr H B Wahlang, Headman of Upper Lumparing has appreciated and lauded the initiative and sustained efforts of Bah Sanbor Shullai, MLA, for bringing various kind of developmental schemes from various departments which has fulfilled the long long aspiration of the people of greater Lumparing in particular and the 19th South Shillong Constituency in general. The brief report on various sanctioning developmental scheme was given by Shri Iaineh Nongkhlaw Rangbah Dong and a vote of thanks was given by Shri Teibor Dkhar Rangbah Dong.
Thereafter, the MCIC organized a get together on the same day at the RLSSCO Community Hall at Kench’s Trace-Bishnupur, Shillong which was attended by officials of the various Governmental department. Leaders of Traditional Institution ,Sports Social and Cultural Society of Youth Welfare Body, Women’s Welfare Body and Local NGO’s, where the Local MLA Shri Sanbor Shullai handed over copies of Government Sanctioning Work Orders amounting to Rs. 26, 00,00,000/- only to Mr Anthony Marwein, Secretary and to all members of the MCIC 19th South Shillong Constituency to be implemented by Department of PWD, Sports, Urban Affairs, PHE, Tourism and Education-ADB Assistance Project of Shillong Municipal Board.
Mr Anthony Marwein, Secretary, MCIC has appreciated and lauded the sustained efforts of Mr Sanbor Shullai, MLA cum Chairman due to his hard work and personal initiative that various Developmental Schemes has been selected, approved and get it sanctioned by the Govt. during his speech has suggested and requested the members of the MCIC to monitor all the projects with cordial relationship and in collaboration with the officials of various Departments as per specification laid down by the Department Concern for the speedy implementation of all the projects to ensure best quality of works for the benefits, welfare and interest of the general public of 19th South Shillong Constituency. And the vote of thanks was offered by Smti D Passah, Secretary, Women’s Wing of the MCIC 19th South Shillong Constituency.
