The MP from Tura Mr Conrad spoke in parliament the problems of the RVTI in country

Shillong, July 27: The National president of the National People’s Party (NPP) Mr  Conrad Sangma MP Tura  spoke in Parliament on Wednesday  regarding the problems that are being faced by Regional Vocational Training Institute (RVTI)  in general in the country and more specifically the one in Tura which was sanctioned during the time of Late Mr  P.A Sangma when he was Labour Minister in the Government of India.

The RVTI is facing a number of problems including the issues of not having a permanent principal for the past few years. There is even shortage of faculty in the institute and the infrastructure is also not up to the mark and has not been maintained well in the past few years.

A few months back representatives from the institute had met the local MP and appraised him about all the issues and problems which are being faced by the institute. The union Labour Minister responded positively and mentioned that the Government was aware of the problems and assure the MP that the issues will be handled and taken up at the earliest.
