The MSSASA kept in abeyance their proposed three day hunger strike

Shillong, April 24: The Meghalaya SSA School Association (MSSASA) in their Executive Committee meeting decided that the three day proposed hunger strike to begin from 26th to 28th of this month has kept in abeyance after getting the respond from the government through the RTI today. Said Mr Aristotle Rymbai president.

The president of the MSSASA said that from the reply received from the State Project Director, SEMAM, who is also Director of School Education and Literacy, of the Education department has stated that the money is already with the state to pay the 12481 SSA teachers with the new pay scale from 1st April 2016  which come to Rs.21.84 core, but from the government they are waiting to get the  2nd Installment so that the government can released the area along with the new pay hike which come to Rs.100 cores as approved by the Project Approval Board (PAB) 2016-17 the ministry of  Human Resource Development (HRD) government of India.

In the replay from the state government they have also mention on the issue of the 4th Teachers , in enhancing their salary and on the result of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) . The general meeting of the Association will be called very soon so that they can deliberate on it as a general body, before calling the General meeting they will go and meet the education minister Smti  Deborah Marak minister incahrge School Education and Literacy and  Smti Roshan Warjri minister incharge Higher bad Technical Education of the state government said Mr Rymbai in the press statement issued today.
