Shillong, Aug 20: The RGCSM society Institute of Nursery Training Shillong Branch held a workshop in Shillong on 20th Aug 2014 at RGCTC. Mr W. Langstang, Director of Commerce and Industries, Government of Meghalaya who was the chief guest for the day spoke about the need of giving training to the teachers at the nursery level so that they are able to give the right perspective and right education to the children at their tender age so that they blossom to be fruitful and productive members of the society.
He also congratulated the Director of the Institute Mrs Adoreen Lyngdoh for the initiative she has undertaken and the staff and students for their hard work put in. The other speaker was Smt. R. B. Roy, Joint Director, Director of Commerce and Industries, Government of Meghalaya who was the guest of honor on the occasion.
She too stressed on the need of giving proper training to teachers who are dealing with the young children. In-service teachers from the various schools participated in this three days workshop programme on Child Psychology and Methods of Teaching.(SP News)
