Shillong, February 16: The ruling collation , the People Democratic Forum (PDF) in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) in the meeting today has decided to place the findings of the inquiry report into the allege misappropriation of Council funds in the coming budget session that will start on February 20.
“The Inquire committee was constituted by the house and we feel that the inquiry report should therefore be placed in the house when the KHADC session starts next week,” KHADC CEM P N Syiem told reporters after the PDF meeting.
On the clarification sought by the United Democratic Party (UDP) on the 9 point query, he said, “We have discussed on all the 9 queries and the PDF will send a written reply to them (UDP) on all their queries by tonight itself.”
Interestingly the written reply of the PDF on the 9 point queries raised by the UDP will be handed to the PP leader of the UDP who is also part of the PDF coalition led by the CEM KHADC P N Syiem.
Earlier, UDP MDC from Nongkrem constituency H S Shylla one of the member demanding clarification from the CEM was seen arriving late to the meeting called by the PDF.
Speaking to reports after the conclusion of the meeting, Shylla said, “We will study the reply from the CEM later and tomorrow the party will be holding a Subcommittee meeting so let’s see what the outcome is after that meeting.”
Commenting on the Conference Hall of the KHADC, Shylla said, “This hall cost Rs. 45 lakhs just to reconstruct and renovate and this to me is clearly day light robbery.”
