Maligaon, Nov 06: In order clear the rush of passenger during the current festive season additional trains are being run by Indian Railway. It has now been decided to run 26 trips of Festival special train between Katihar and Anand Vihar(Delhi).
There will be 13 trips of the special train in each direction. Special train number 04423 will leave from Katihar at 22-45 hrs daily w.e.f. 11th November, 2020 till 23rd November, 2020 to reach Anand Vihar Terminus (Delhi) at 02-55 hrs on 13th November, 2020 till 25th November, 2020.
During return journey Festival special train number 04424 will leave from Anand Vihar Terminus (Delhi) daily at 15-20 hrs w.e.f. 10th November, 2020 till 22nd November, 2020 to reach Katihar at 19-55 hrs next day.
This special train will have modern LHB coaches consisting of 13 Sleeper Class coaches and 5 General Second Class coaches apart from luggage vans. The special train will run via Barauni Jn, Samastipur Jn, Hajipur Jn, Chhapra, Gorakhpur Jn, and Kanpur Central during its both way journeys.
In addition to the above, more special trains are also being run to clear rush on different routes. Special train no 06001 which left Coimbatore yesterday (5th November 2020) at 23-00 hrs will arrive Katihar at 01-45 hrs on 8th November 2020.
Special train no 06002 which left Chennai Central yesterday (5th November 2020) at 23-00 hrs will arrive New Jalpaiguri at 17-00 hrs on 7th November 2020. Special train no 06003 which left Ernakulum yesterday (5th November 2020) at 23-00 hrs will arrive Guwahati at 15-45 hrs on 8th November 2020. Schedule and stoppages of these trains are available in IRCTC website and N.F.Railway’s social media platforms.
The arrival and departure timings of the 02423 / 02424 Dibrugarh – New Delhi Spl Rajdhani Express have been changed at few stations. Accordingly train no 02423 will now depart from New Jalpaiguri at 13-25 hrs. It will arrive at Kishanganj at 14-30 hrs to depart at 14-32 hrs and arrive at Katihar at 16-25 hrs to depart at 16-35 hrs.
This will be with effect from 7th November 2020. Similarly, train no 02424 will depart from Katihar at 10-05 hrs. It will arrive Kishanganj at 11-20 hrs to depart at 11-22 hrs and arrive New Jalpaiguri at 12-55 hrs to depart at 13-20 hrs w.e.f. today (06-11-2020). These changes in timings have been necessitated due to conversion of the train from diesel to electric traction from New Jalpaiguri.
