Shillong, September 21: To commemorate 84th Anniversary of the IAF, a grand Festival ‘Air Fest 2016’ is planned under the aegis of Headquarters Eastern air Command at ALG ground of Upper Shillong. This year the Air Fest will be held for three days instead of normal two days from 30 Sep 2016 to 02 Oct 2016. This step is taken to facilitate the people of Shillong, specially students of college and school. The fest will be open to one and all from 1000h to 1600 h on all three days, with ‘ NO ENTRY FEE’ Photography is permitted.
Heart throbbing activities’ like Fly Past by fighter aircraft, Para Sailing, Aero Modeling, Static Display of Aircraft, Slithering Operation of the Special IAF Force ‘Garud’ and performance by the Air Force Band will be the main highlights of the event. Relishing food stalls would also be put up. All the denizens of Shillong are cordially invited to benefit from the Air Fest with their maximum participation.
