Ampati, June 17, 2026: A training programme in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls with reference to 01.10.2026 was conducted on Wednesday at the DRDA Conference Hall, Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Ampati.
The training was organized by the Office of the District Election Officer, South West Garo Hills, to prepare election functionaries for the forthcoming revision exercise.
BLO Supervisors and concerned Enumerators from the 53-Ampati (ST), 54-Mahendraganj (ST), and 55-Salmanpara (ST) Assembly Constituencies attended the programme.
During the training, participants were briefed on the guidelines, procedures, and responsibilities relating to the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Rolls. Emphasis was laid on ensuring accuracy, inclusiveness, and transparency in the electoral roll revision process.
Officials from the Election Branch provided detailed instructions on field-level activities, data collection, verification procedures, and timelines to be followed during the revision exercise. Queries raised by participants were also addressed to ensure uniform understanding and effective implementation of the programme.
The training concluded with a call for all concerned officials to carry out their assigned duties diligently to facilitate the successful conduct of the Special Intensive Revision in the district.
