Shillong, August 06: The Williamnagar based NGOs comprising GSU, FAF, Mother’s Federation, AIGU, ICFS and AYF in the joint statement had extend support to the demand of the All Adoc School Teachers of Lower, Upper-Primary, Secondary and Higher Secondary school, Williamnagar, East Garo Hills (JACATAM) for Provincialisation of their service, Job Security.
The conglomeration of all the NGO from Williamnagar expressed that the State government should listen and talk with the aggrieving teachers immediately to address their remonstration.Sit-In Demonstration that the teachers has agitate on 27, 28 & 29 July, last month had greatly affect the students community and the parents in general.
However, the Sit-In-Demonstration for three days in demand to the Provincialisation of Service was success peacefully and the Williamnagar based NGOs will support the demand of the JACATAM and would appeal the State Government to address their demand as early as possible. Said mr Rocky M Sangma general secretary of the GSU in the press statement.
