Shillong, August 09: As part of the ongoing Locality Beautification and Enhancement Competition (Phase ). the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, East Khasi Hills has opened an online voting platform for the competition with effect from 8th of August, 2022 (http://www.beautyshillong.com).
The winning localities of the competition will be decided by a combination of online voting and evaluation by an expert panel. I placed locality will receive Rs 5 lakh while 2nd and 3r prize winners will receive Rs 3 Lakh and Rs 2 Lakh respectively.
Apart from the best locality prize, online voters can also vote for the best display of Street Art on the website. Citizens of Shillong are encouraged to visit the website and cast their votes. The Prize money will be used by the localities for further improvement of the locality spaces, as per their priorities and requirements.
