Meghalaya Legislative Assembly today passed the Meghalaya Appropriation Bill-2017

Shillong, December 14: The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly today passed the Meghalaya Appropriation Bill-2017 to authorize the state Government to withdraw the amount of 513 crore, 67 lakh, 42 thousand and 572 rupees from the Consolidated Fund of Meghalaya for the financial year 2017-2018.

The Bill was tabled by Meghalaya Chief Minister, Dr. Mukul Sangma said on the last day of the Winter session of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. This is also the last session of the state Assembly before going to polls in early next year.

This amount will enable the state Government towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the financial year ending March 31st, 2018.
