Shillong, March 12: On Wednesday night while the police are conducting counter insurgency operation at Bolbokgre Vilalge in South Garo Hills District un know miscreant fire indiscriminately who were taking shelter in the area.
The police team comprise of SF-10 and the Police from South Garo Hills immediately retaliated and after intense exchange of fire, the police team conducted combing operation in the area.
During the search operation police has recovered one AK.81 with Magazine and ammunition, two smooth bore rifles, three pistol and others incriminating documents from the area.
The police claim that the miscreants who manage to fled after the exchanged of fire are suspected to be aides of Drishti Rakhowa u deputy Commander in Chief of the band outfit of ULFA who was suspected to the there in the area.
