Shillong, December 07: The NPP condemns the insensitive decision of the Dr. Mukul Sangma led Government which has declared the 28th and 29th of December as working days making it mandatory for all Government Servants to attend office.
Christmas and New Years is a time everyone in Meghalaya cherishes as a time meant for Family and loved ones where everyone comes together to celebrate the Birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This action of Dr. Mukul Sangma speaks volumes of his callous and insensitive attitude. It would seem that people are being made to work on these days only to facilitate laying of more Foundation Stones by Dr. Mukul Sangma.
The NPP demands that Dr. Mukul Sangma immediately revokes this order thereby allowing families to be together during this holy and festive season.
