The BSF organized civic action programme and friendly football match at Dalu

Shillong, May 24: In addition to guard the international border round the clock, the sentinels of the border organized a civic action programme at Dalu, West Garo Hills Distt. The border guards living to its expectation of winning the hearts of the local populace have been continuously organizing such public outreach programmes.

During the civic action programme a friendly football match between the teams of Youth Culture club, Maghupara and BSF was also organized and BSF won this match by 05-01. The medals and trophies were also distributed to the players of both the teams. Community utility items like Computer, Water storage Sintex, Plastic Table and Plastic chairs 40 Nos were distributed to schools in Dalu.

Civic Action programme are conducted to improve the quality of life and welfare of the border population, upgrade the existing infrastructure and create new avenues for bringing positive changes in the life of the border population. It has always been the endeavour of Border Security Force to help the border population and enable them to lead a prosperous life.

Following the trend, this year also BSF will organize more Civic Action Programme for the under privileged border population residing in far-flung areas along the India–Bangladesh border to bring the feeling of mutual trust among the border population and the force personnel which will assist in smooth management of border.

Shri Darbar Singh, 2nd in Command, 75 Bn Headquarters BSF inaugurated the function and graced the occasion in the presence of prominent local heads, leaders and villagers of Dalu and surrounding area.
