Shillong, October 03: The East Khasi Hills District Unit of the Meghalaya Veterinary Services Association (MVSA), Shillong celebrated World Rabies Day 2017 recently at the office of the Block Development Officer, Pynursla, under the Global Theme – Rabies : Zero by 2030.
The programme was attended by Extra Assistant Commissioner, Pynursla Sub-Division, Shri G. Warjri, as the Chief Guest A talk on the “Zoonotic Importance of Rabies” was delivered by Dr. (Mrs.) L. Dkhar, A.H. & Veterinary Officer, to students of six schools from Pynursla area.
As part of the programme, a Vaccination Camp against Rabies for Dogs was conducted simultaneously in seven localities of Pynursla, in which 100 dogs were immunised with Anti-Rabies Vaccine.
