Shillong, August 11: The Laitumkhrah Dorbar Shnong Pyllun expresses shock and condemns the assault on Bah Gordon Bruce Sawkmie, Rangbah Shnong by one Michael Pyngrope 32 years, driver and Kenny Paul Hynniewta 26 years conductor of STPS Bus no ML01-7371 on 10 August morning at Golf Links.
The attack has raised eyebrow on the conduct and mannerism of STPS service providers where a senior citizen like Bah Bruce was not even spared by the assailants who took the law into their hands. The Dorbar would like to press upon the law enforcing agency to thoroughly investigate the case so that such incident is not repeated in the future especially by those who are service providers of government owned transport facility.
There has been several complaints earlier that STPS bus drivers and conductors misbehaves with passengers and drive the buses recklessly, this assault incident on Bah Bruce is a reminder to the authorities to streamline the STPS bus service so that the general public at large is not harassed by the ill attitude of such drivers and conductors, who tends to forget that they ferry passengers on government owned vehicles.
