Shillong, April 29: A cyclonic circulation lies over northeast Assam and neighbourhood between 1.5 km and 3.1 km above mean sea-level. A trough runs from north Bihar to Manipur across Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and south Assam at 0.9 km above mean sea level.
Under the influence of the above synoptic conditions and moisture incursion from the Bay of Bengal to Assam due to S-ly and SW-ly winds in the lower level, fairly Wide spreads to Wide spreads rainfall accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning.
Gusty winds at isolated places are very likely over Meghalaya during 29th April-03rd May and Isolated Heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy Rainfall on 2nd May, Isolated Heavy to very heavy Rainfall on 1st May and and isolated Heavy Rainfall on 30th April 2024.
