Shillong, September 10: In the month of December the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will released the name of their MLA candidate for the MLA Election scheduled for the month of February 2018 next year. Screening of their aspiring candidate constituency wise has been started.
Sources closed to the BJP said that, the party has started it screening of its candidate from Sohra Constituency where there are two candidate are seeking BJP ticket, Dr PW Khongjee former MLA and Mr Banteilang Singh Rumnong. Similar screening also done in others constituency and they will complete this exercise before Christmas season.
In others constituency where there is only one aspiring Candidate, like Mawsynram Constituency only one candidate Mr Khraw Jyrwa is seeking party ticket the party will not do the screening but they will only analyzed the party position, in such constituency.
The party has also shortlisted constituency wise, the wining constituency, probable of wining, and constituency that they doubt that they are not wining but they have to set up candidate in thus constituency.
