Shillong, October 24: Six people sustained injuries in an accident that happened yesterday evening in Nongkasen Village in West Khasi Hills. This incident happened on the 23rd October 2017 at around 7.30 PM when one Bolero pick up which was on the way to Mawlaisyiem in West Khasi Hills met with an accident with a truck that was going in the same direction.
As per the eyewitness the accident happened due to over speeding of the bolero who was about to overtake a truck that was going in the same direction when suddenly another vehicle was coming from the opposite direction, the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the back side of the truck leaving six people injured.
Markasa based 108 ambulance and Markasa PHC ambulance helped in shifting all the injured victims to Markasa PHC, Mairang Civil Hospital and NEIGRIHMS. Three victims shifted by the 108 ambulance are identified as Romilin Nongrum 23 Female, Dilinti Nongrum 27 Female and Donborlang Marwein 35 Male, all from Mawlaisyiem Village, West Khasi Hills.
