Shillong, July 07: Asian Confluence, in collaboration with the East Khasi Hills District administration will organize two Nodifestival in the capital Shillong on the 15 and 16 of this month, where othrs dignitaries from the neighboring countries will also participate.
The Director of Asian Confluence Mr Sabyasachi Dutta said that by organizing such festival is to bring the people of the region with the neighboring closer, only when people meet thing start changing . On this two day festival many official from Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Bangladesh will participate.
Smti P Lawai while speaking on behalf of the District administration she said that the outcome of this festival is base on the bilateral agreement sing between the Bangladesh Govermtent and the Meghalaya government on the year 2015.
This agreement is sign in order to felicitated growth of trade and commerce and to felicitate the flow of tourist aprt from that to protect the water bodies on both the side. She said Meghalaya depend on the rain to feed the rivers, so this is high time to preserved water.
