Tura, May 07: The South West Garo Hills District hit by cyclonic storm on Saturday night, where many houses were damaged and electric lines were destroyed where uprooted trees collapse on them.
Official were on the job to do their survey to fine out numbers of houses that were damaged on this cyclonic storm that occurred on Saturday night, so far there is not report of any casualty from any quarter of the district.
The police personnel were at work to help the people in clearing the road leading to Salmanpara after a tree fell across during the storm on Saturday night. Police personnel has been at work from early Sunday morning clearing roads and helping the villagers to restore their damaged dwellings
