Forest Minister Mr Clement assured the delegation old stock of lime stone will be clear

Shillong February 16: A delegation from Shella, Mawlong and Bholaganj area of East KHasi Hills District today met the Forest Minister Mr Clement Marak at his official residence. In this meeting the quarry owners and the laboures apprised the minister on the hardship that they are facing after the band on lime stone quarry.

The delegation appraised the minister incharge Forest about the ground reality how it has affected the people living in the area since most of the people the main sources of their lively hood are from lime stone quarry and many laboures are working in it.

The Minister have patiently listing to their point and he has assured them that he will asked the officer concern of the forest department that the old stock of lime stone will be clear very soon, the minister concern is meeting the delegation from the area for the first time and to get the first hand information from people who are directly involved in lime stone mining.

The delegation led by the president Meghalaya Chambers of Commerce Mr Stodar Dkhar , Mr Paskha Malangniang along with the people from the area , the delegation were pleased with the assured from the minister in charge forest, said Mr Stodar Dkhar.
