Shillong, July 27: Meghalaya Governor, Dr K K Paul today expressed his profound grief at the sad demise of the ex-Governor of Meghalaya, Mr Madhukar Dighe.
In his condolence letter sent to the son of (L) Madhukar Dighe today, Dr K K Paul wrote,
“I express my profound grief at the sad demise of your beloved father at Gurgaon and convey my deepest condolences to you and the bereaved family and pray that God gives you the strength to bear this loss.
He was a renowned freedom fighter, had a long and distinguished career and an illustrious public life. As the Governor of this State he had made valuable contributions during his tenure in the early nineties.
People of the state have fond memories of his helpful nature. In his demise, the Nation has lost a sterling personality. I, on my own behalf and the people of Meghalaya convey my deepest condolences on this irreparable loss”.(SP News)
