Heavy rain with thunderstorm and gusty wind activity over Meghalaya for the next five days

Shillong, April 27: The Indian Metrological Department predicted that the cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam and  neighbourhood persists and now extends upto 4.5 km above mean sea level.

The cyclonic circulation lies over north Bangladesh and neighbourhood persists and now extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level. The trough from above cyclonic circulation over north Bangladesh to north Odisha across Gangetic West Bengal at 0.9 km above mean sea level has become less marked.

Under their influence:  Heavy Rain is likely to occur from 28th April to 01st May 2024 at isolated places over Meghalaya.  Thunderstorm and Lightning and gusty wind with wind speed of 40 to 50 Kmph is likely to occur from 27th to 28th  April 2024 and gusty wind with wind speed of 30 to 40 Kmph is likely to occur from 29th April to 01st May 2024 at isolated places over Meghalaya.
