Tura, July 13: The former Chairman of the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) Mr Boston Marak who has resign to contest for the election of the Chief Executive Member (CEM) in the GHADC has file his nomination today at 11.30 AM.
Speaking to SP News Agency over phone from Tura, Mr Marak said “I have the numbers; I am confident that I will win the Chief Executive Member Election in the GHADC schedule to be held on 18th July 2017 that is on coming Tuesday.
The aspirant CEM candidate Mr Boston has won the MDC Election from the NPP ticket but left the party to joint hand with the Congress to topple the Executive Committee led by Mr Denang T Sangma, which the former CEM resign without facing the No Confidence motion which led to the imposition of administrator rule in the GHADC.
