Shillong, May 03: The Minister in-charge Urban Affairs and Information Technology, Government of Meghalaya, Shri Hamletson Dohling have apprised Shri Prestone Tynsong Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister ( in-charge Public Work Department) about a vacant land situated on the left side of the Umshyrpi Bridge on the way from Rhino Museum to Upper Shillong which is under the purview of the Public Works Department.
In order to ease the people of Upper Shillong and also for the safety of the general public , the Minister have suggested to Mr Prestone Tynsong to transfer the vacant land mentioned above to the Police Department so that they can shift the present Police Outpost located in Jhalupara to the vacant land at Umshyrpi which is a perfect strategic location for ensuring a peaceful and secured environment to the people.
