Shillong, May 30: In a significant arrest, on Sunday early morning, Mawlai Police were able to arrest two members of a gang of dacoits who had been looting truck drivers and petrol pumps during late night in Mawiong area.
These two gang were identified Raju Biswa, 36 yearrs and Chandra Prakash, 36 years both of Iew Mawlong. They were caught by Police while they were committing robbery. However, one managed to escape in a vehicle used by them. They have been identified by victims as being involved in about eight robbery cases.
From these gang the police have recovered one Mobile Phone, eight numbers of sim cards, money Rs 8400/-, khukri.
