Shillong, April 08: The North Eastern Institute of Ayurveda & Homoeopathy (NEIAH), an autonomous institute under Ministry of AYUSH, located at Mawdiangdiang, Shillong is going to celebrate “World Homoeopathy Day” on 10th April,2017, to mark the 262nd Birth Anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (Founder of Homoeopathy) at NEIAH Campus by the way of conducting an Oration programme along with felicitation of eminent Homoeopathic physicians of North East.
The programme will start at 10:00 A.M. and continue till 03:00 P.M. Prof. R. Sharma, Dean, School of Life Sciences, NEHU, Shillong will be the Chief Guest for the occasion. Prof .(Dr.) Neeraj Gupta, HOD, Department of Organon of Medicine, Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, New Delhi will be the Keynote Speaker. Dr. A.A.Mao, Regional Director, Botanical Survey of India, Eastern Complex, Shillong and Dr. S.K.Jha, Assistant Professor, Department of Statistics, NEHU, Shillong will be the Invited Speakers on the occasion. The inaugural programme will be initiated by “Lighting of Lamp” and garlanding the portrait of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the Founder of Homoeopathy. Prof. (Dr.) P.K. Goswami, Director, NEIAH will deliver the welcome address.
Two eminent Homoeopathic Physicians from the North East region Dr. Paresh Sharma, Ex-Principal, SJN Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati and Dr. Shngaiñlang Bamon, Ex-Faculty Member of Regional Health and Family Welfare Training Centre, Shillong, Meghalaya will be felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding contribution in the field of Homoeopathy.
