Shillong, August 29: Orientation cum Career Guidance Programmes on recruitment of armed and unarmed constables and also for Sub-Inspectors in Meghalaya Police will be held at Garobadha H.S. School compound, 2nd MLP Bn. Chibra Agal Field, Dalu Multi Facility Building of Dalu C&RD Block and at Phulbari, Shyamnagar L.P. School Field on 31st August 2016, 7th September 2016, 14th September 2016 and 21st September 2016 respectively from 10:00 AM onwards. This was informed by the Sr. Superintendent of Police, West Garo Hills, Tura.
Giving the summary of recruitment procedures that is to be followed in due course of time, the note stated that examination will be divided into three categories in the form of physical efficiency test, written exam and personal interview and chips will be attached to runner’s shoe in order to evaluate time and distance accurately, besides, having OMR Sheets scanned/screened by computers and interview recorded on video to do away with any anomalies and maintain complete transparency of the entire recruitment process.
The Career Guidance programme under the aegis of ‘Chief Minister’s Career Guidance & Counselling Scheme’ is being organised by the West Garo Hills District Administration in collaboration with Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Meghalaya and Sr. Superintendent of Police West Garo Hills, Tura.
