Maligaon, March 10:To provide world class travelling experience to passengers of New Jalpaiguri& Patna route, one newVande Bharat Express will be flagged off virtually by the Prime Minister ShriNarendraModion 12th March, 2024.
Along with the flagging off, Hon’ble Prime Minister will also inaugurate and dedicate and lay foundation stone of various infrastructural development projects at 764 locations across the country on the same day.
The Prime Minister will dedicate and lay foundation stone and inaugurate and flag off a world record of 6000 projects worth over Rs. 85,000 crores. 10,000 railway screens at various stations across the country will live stream the mega function. A total of 1584 One Station One Product stalls will be dedicated to the nation.14 category Vishwakarmas will be invited totalling to almost 6 lakhs.
New goods sheds will beinaugurated/dedicated. Over Indian Railways 1476MT loading were done in 2023-24 as compared to corresponding period of previous year which is 1405 MT, i.e. 70MT more which results in increased earning. Solar panels are to be installed at station buildings and service buildings.
Around, 2500 km of New Lines and Gauge Conversion and Doubling to be dedicated to the nation.50 Jan AushadhiKendras will be inaugurated to provide generic medicines at low cost. Setting up of Rail Coach restaurantsare planned which have become happening places in the town and city.
In a bid to reduce carbon emission, 40000 km of track electrification were done in last 10 years. Indian Railways is moving towards 2X25 kV traction which will enable longer, heavier and faster trains (faster than 160 kmph).
Along with the other items, the Hon’ble Prime Minister will inaugurate 77 outlets of One Station One Product in Assam, 40 outlets in West Bengal, 09 outlets in Bihar, 05outlets in Tripura and 02outlets in Arunachal Pradesh falling under the jurisdiction of N. F. Railway.
Also, 05 Rail Coach Restaurants in Assam, 05 in West Bengal and 05 in Bihar will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. 03Kendras of Jan Ausadhiin Assam and 01 in Bihar will also be inaugurated.
Adding wings to the PM Gati Shakti initiative, the Prime Minster will dedicate two Gati Shakti Terminals i.eone at Moinarband in Cachar district and the other at Cinnamara in Jorhat district of Assam.
Further, 09 Goods Sheds in Assam, 03 in West Bengal and 01 in Bihar under N. F. Railway will also be dedicated by the Prime Minister along with laying of foundation stone of additional pit line at Alipurduar in West Bengal.
The Prime Minster will also dedicate some newly constructed doubling sections of the New Bongaigaon – Agthori via Rangiya and New Bongaigaon – Kamakhya via Goalpara Town sections to the nation.
These development works which are being undertaken will provide anupgraded infrastructure to the Railwaysin Northeast. As a result of it, tourism, employment sector will escalate and socio-economic facade of the region will get a huge boost.
