Shillong, June 15:Dr C Daniala, President IMA, Meghalaya State Chapter said that it was extremely sad to announce the demise of a very senior Radiologist Dr Sanjay Kumar Barman 70 Years old this morning at 7 am due to covid pneumonia at NEIGRIHMS.
Cremation was performed today at Shillong, His residence is at Laitumkhrah near Old NEHU Bijni Complex. He had retired from Meghalaya Govt as senior radiologist. After joining service he did DMRD from Dibrugarh Medical College in 1999 and joined Civil hospital radiology.
Dr Barman completed his MBBS from Guwahati Medical College in 1980. He also did short term training in CT from AIIMS, New Delhi in 2006. After retirement from Meghalaya govt service, he worked at Ramakrishna Mission Clinic, Shillong for few years, and then worked for about 10 years in Guwahati.
He left behind his wife Smt. Baby Pohti , his two sons : Sanjeev and Sujoy. The IMA sent deepest Condolences to the bereaved family. May his soul rest in peace, said Dr. C Daniala, President IMA of Meghalaya State Chapter.
