Shillong, May 28: Shillong Lajong FC juniors registered their second consecutive win in the U-18 Shillong Premier League. They beat Nongkrem Sports Club 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in Polo Ground. Nongkrem Sports Club took the lead when Pynshai Lyngdoh scored in the 32nd minute of the match.
Lajong juniors played much better football in the second half and were the more dominant side. Samuel Kynshi equalised for the Junior Reds in the 66th minute while Donbok made it 2-1 for the Lajong juniors in the 73rd minute.
Nongkrem Sports Club started to push forward in search of the equaliser and managed to level the score line when Pynshai Lyngdoh found his second goal in the 80th minute.
With the game almost heading to full time, Apborlang scored the winner in the 90th minute with a half volley shot past the keeper.The Reds won the game 3-2 and will play their next match against Royal Wahingdoh FC on the 1st of June.
