Smti Amory C War received ‘Award of Merit’ from union health Minister

Shillong, September 14: The General Secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Meghalaya Branch, has informed that Smti. Amory Caroline Warr, Counsellor of the Junior Red Cross of unit of the Mawlai Government Upper Primary School was conferred the ‘Award of Merit’ for her unstinted devotion of her time and service to the Indian Red Cross Society since 1986.

Recognising her voluntary service, the award was handed to her at a function held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on 30th August, 2016 by the Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Government of India and also the Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, New Delhi, Shri. J P Nadda.

Smti. Warr has been instrumental in recruiting members of the Junior Red Cross in her school over the past 20 years and imbibing them with healthy habits while spreading voluntary blood donation awareness amongst the young people and inspiring other fellow counsellors of other schools.
