The BJYM write to the Home Minister, see the save return of Shri Anand Kumar

Shillong, June 17: The BJYM in the memorandum sent to the home minister to day said that they were apprehensive to note that the present law and order situation in the State is very sensitive and vulnerable considering the increase in unlawful activities in the society and militancy group especially in Garo Hills which has caused harm and insecurity to the common man and thereby disturbing peace and tranquility and hampering the development of the State.

The staffs in Government offices are very insecure  to be posted in Garo Hills due to extortions and  kidnapings. The latest is the kidnapping of an SBI staff  on the 16/06/2014.

That immediate strengthening and reformation of Meghalaya home department is required  with effective mechanism .

That,  the Government has to provide and ensure security and protection to the common man and the woman. That  the Government  has to introspect about the failure of the police force to combat militancy and  the rise of militant group one after another.

That  the Government  must  assure  that   the culprits  who  killed Smti  Joshina.M.Sangma must  be  punished as per legal procedureThat the Government  must  provide ways and means to prevent the youth  from involving in anyunlawful activities or   joining  to any  form of militancy group.

That   the Government must have the objective to understand and listen the Youth grievances, their voices and  visions  in order to bring  a  futuristic, constructive  effort s and  cooperation. That  the Government  should see the save return of Shri Anand Kumar who  was kidnaped by militant(SP News)
