The BSF recover FICN from Bangldeshi national at the International Border in South Garo Hills

 

Shillong, June 17: BSF deployed at Border of South Garo Hills District, recovered FAKE INDIAN CURRENCY NOTES of the face value Rs 6000/-(Denomination, 500×4, 40×100), from two Bangladeshi nationals, apprehended on International border while trying to cross over to Indian territory from Bangladesh, on 16thJune’2014. The apprehended Bangladeshi nationals are identified as MdAzijulIslam (20 yrs)Vill-Mantala Ps- Kalmakanda, Distt- Netrakona and MdRaihanHaque (32 yrs), Vill/Ps-Kishore Ganj, Distt-Nilsamari(BD). Besides FICN, BD Taka 30025/- andGanjawerealso recovered from their possession.

The apprehended BD nationals revealed that they are active in trans-border smuggling of Ganja and other contraband items. The payment of these smuggled items are made through BD Taka or Indian currency in which they mix good quality of FICN, which comes into Indian territory for further circulation in markets.

BSF is always alert and putting all his effort to curb the pumping of FICN from Bangladesh to India, which affecting the huge loss to economy of our nation.

Apprehended Bangladeshi nationals have been handed over to Police alongwith FICN and other seized items.(SP News)
