The Congress eyeing to attract religions minorities of North East India to the party

Shillong, November 02: The minority Department of all India Congress Committee is preparing a strategy to attract Christians, Muslims, Bhuddhist and other religions minorities of North East India towards the Congress Party. The Departments Chairperson has entrusted Congress ideologue from Assam.

Mr Rejaul Karim Laskar to prepare this strategy after visiting all the eight Statess of North East and meeting State Congress Presidents, CLP Leaders and other Congress Leaders, Mr. Laskar, who is the former Spokesperson of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, and former Secretary AICC Vichar Vibhag is also cell a prominent author and scholar.

As part of this exercise, Mr.Laskar today met Dr.D.D.Lapang, President, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee at his Official Residence in Shilong.In this meeting  Dr.Lapang gave some suggestions for AICC Minority Department which Mr.Laskar will include in his report.

Earlier Dr.Lapang met Shri.Hiranya Bora, Ex-MLA, Former General Secretary, North East Congress Co-ordination Committee, discussing o strengthening the NECCC.
