Shillong, July 07: The Cabinet meeting today approved for the constitution of the three members panel to head the fifth Meghalaya pay commission that will be headed by the former chief secretary Mr P J Bazely and this commission will have to report to the government to scrutinized before given the final approval.
The two others members of the Commission ar Mr Uttam K Sangma and Mr L Roy, the government will issue notification on this regard to indicate the term of refrence to the Commission said Dr Mukul.
The Fouth Pay Commission was implemented in the year 2009, in spite of band in coal the government will fine its own resources that available with the state government, the Chief minister admit that if there is any pay hike there will be financial implication on the state exchanger.
The Cabinet also approve the service rule of the PWD department and the government want that all department should have their own service rule, the cabinet also augment the contingency found of the state from Rs.105 cores to Rs 205 cores , the cabinet also amended the Meghalaya state language Act, so this act will be applicable to all eleven district in the state.
