Shillong, November 07: On the occasion of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Flag Day, the Rajya Puraskar Rally was held today at Raj Bhavan, Shillong. The Governor of Meghalaya, Shri V. Shanmuganathan who is also the Patron of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides.
On Bharat Scouts and Guides Flag Day the governor give away the Rajya Puraskar certificate awards to 38 Guides, 40 Scouts and 8 Rovers in the presence of State Chief Commissioner, Mr F R Kharkongor, Secretary to the Governor of Meghalaya, Mr H. M. Shangpliang and other dignitaries.
The Governor also felicitated Smti Paleisimai Tariang for the Asia Pacific Adult Achievement Award and the H L Mizo Scout Unit for winning the Prime Minister Shield Competition.
