Jowai, June 14: The Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) today in a one day session elected Mr A H Darnei as the new chairman of the council unopposed said Mr Thombor Shiwat Chief Executive Member.
The post of the Chairman in the JHADC remain vacant after Mr Laitsing Shylla resign from the post few month ago to pave way for the Executive committee to elect the new chairman.
