Shillong, January 13: The president of the Khasi Student’s Union (KSU) Mr Daniel Khyriem today said that the organization is will to accept the policy of give and take policy to solve the long pending border dispute between the two state Meghalaya and Assam.
The KSU have seen that the talk between the Government of Assam and Meghalaya is still continuing, what the KSU want from the state of Meghalaya that the government should give protection to the people who are living in the border areas.
As the student body they are not keeping quiet on the issued they keep on talking to the state government to speed up in solving the boundary disputes. Whenever tension builds up in the border area the KSU talk to the Assam student Union and the Karbi Student’s Union to see that no untoward will not take place.
The KSU chief criticizes the Meghalaya Government for not developing at the villages in the border areas they allowed thing to happen and start doing thing. If at all to solved the boundary dispute with Assam, a referendum should be conducted to allowed the people to choose where they want to off for whether they will off for Meghalaya or Assam.
