The Meghalaya High Court today dispose of the PIL on dual post file by CSWO

Shillong, August 23: The full bench of the Meghalaya High Court, in it sitting today had dispose of the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) file by the president of the CSWO on 2014, saying that MLA and MDC are holding the office of profit.

Speaking to media person Advocate VG Kynta who pleaded on behalf of Mr P N Syiem who is an MLA and MDC from Mawsynram constituency  said that the “Meghalaya High Court has Dispose of  the PIL file by the president of CSWO Smti Agnes Kharshiing, before the Meghalaya High Court”.

The learned counsel, advocate Kynta said the MDC are not holding office of profit, since they are not members in the central or state government, as per article 191 and article 192 of the Indian Constitution.

The Meghalaya High Court, also today dispose of the PIL  based on the  observation of the election commission of India, in which the governor announced on the 31th May 2016.

Mr PN Syiem who survived this legal battle, on the issue of dual post which hunted him for almost two years thank his well-wisher and to the learned counsel  who has pleading for him in this case, where the Meghalaya High Court dispose of today the PIL.
