Shillong, May 13: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) is a bit worried about the candidature of many sitting legislators whether they will seek party ticket for the upcoming General election to the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
Sources said that in the previous election by this time the party is worried because of many aspiring candidate but this time, the party is worried if sitting legislators left the party in the last movement, this will be a big problem for the party to look for the candidate.
Many of the Congress workers appreciate the way Mr PN Syiem takes his stand, but others are not showing any sign but the party from the hear say are getting information that few congress legislators are fence sitter. This made the party difficulty to understand what they have to decide.
Sources said that the MPCC president Dr D D Lapang is working hard to see that the party forms the next Government in 2018. What Dr Mukul Sangma, admit that he is aware about the fence sitter legislator of the Congress party.
