Shillong, May 21: The Meghalaya State President jong of the Nationalist People Party (NPP) Dr W Kharlukhi thank the people of Garo Hills who has repose faith in the party by electing the party candidate Mr Conrad K Sangma as their new MP from 2-Tura Parliamentary Constituency.
He also thank others political parties like, HSPDP, UDP, KHNAM, GNC and the BJP who has extended their support to their candidate in the just concluded MP election in Garo Hills. Dr Kharlukhi said that the People of Garo Hills has elected right person to the right place, he hope that their MP will work for the development of the state and in particular the Garo Hills region.
He, Dr Kharlukhi attribute this party victory that people of Garo Hills respect their late leader Purno A Sangma, and the people of Garo hills are so wise to elect a person in the stature of Mr Conrad K Sangma who is known for his credibility in public life. The party hopes that their MP will perform in this remaining term of two years.
The people has elected the present government led by the congress for the term of five years, but if the government let by DrMukul Sangma collapses , this will be the internal matter of the congress the party has nothing to say, it the congress affair.
