Shillong, November 26: Mr. Conrad K Sangma MP Lok Sabha from Tura met the Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Nipendra Misra during the last Session of the Parliament and requested him to call a meeting of Secretary Coal Department, Secretary Forest Department and Chief Secretary of Meghalaya regarding the NGT ban on coal mining in the State of Meghalaya.
He also raised the importance of this issue in the Parliament during the last Session on 11.08.2016 Question No 365 “Inspection of Mines”. On the request made by Mr. Conrad K Sangma MP, the PMO office has fixed for the meeting that will be held on the 1st December 2016 at the Prime Minister’s office, South Block New Delhi.
