Shillong, August 10: Employees and Officers of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Wednesday staged a massive procession, which kick started from NE-1 Circle Office and concluded at GMTD office, opposite Lady Hyadri Park in the city.
The objective of the massive procession organised by the BSNL is to create awareness on the ‘Service With A Smile’ (SWAS) among all the employees.
Earlier there was an oath taking ceremony of staff and officers of BSNL in which they pledged to have a dialogue with each of the valued customers and serve them with a smile in conformity with the objective “Connecting India”.
Speaking to reporters after the procession, BSNL general manager Meghalaya, Sugata Nallie said, “The main objective of this procession is to show that we are committed to giving service to the customers with a smile and we want to spread this message among all the general public.”
She informed that various road shows had also been organized in order to let the general public know more about the services provided by BSNL.
She pointed out that by organizing such an awareness programme the BSNL is improving the customer care services in the state.
Meanwhile, BSNL Employees Union secretary D E Shylla informed that the awareness programme has been chalked out by the cooperate office from Delhi to be organized across India.
She said, “This programme had already kick started since January this year across the county.”
