Shillong, July 04: The Shillong Lajong FC youngsters played the Quarter Finals today against Global FC from Gassaegaon and won the match to progress to the Semi Finals of the 8th Bodousa Cup 2016 in Assam.
The Quarter Final match today was played in Kokrajhar and the Reds performed very well to beat Global FC. The opponents fought hard and defended the Lajong attack throughout the match well. The Lajong back line continued to impress as they haven’t conceded a goal thus far in the tournament.
The Goal for Lajong was scored by Sheen Sohktung and assited by Kagaly in the 58th minute. Khlainbor Khongsit won the man of the match for his strong display on the right flank. The team will now travel to Tinsukia to play the Semi finals.
